Being a Christian will cost you in this world
The persecution of Christians that is going on all over the world right now is a gross example of how far things can get. Those types of persecutions always begin with the censorship of words and beliefs. If you don’t see more and more of that happening right here, you are walking through the world with eyes wide shut or you aren’t sharing any kind of truth that’s offending anyone anyway. While some view tolerance and a lack of conviction as some kind of a virtue, Jesus never held those views. In Matthew 10:34, Jesus said, “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.” He knew His teachings would divide people, not bring all men together. In John 15:18-19, Jesus said, “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” In Mark 13:9, Jesus said, “But watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues. You will be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them.” Read More Here
